Each month the rise of abuse, addiction, overdoses and deaths caused by opiate based drugs increases and has shown no sign of slowing down due to the accessibility to opiate based drugs.
EDEN Medicinal Society is working alongside researchers from the University of British Columbia with conducting a study to develop a support program for substituting opiate based drugs with standardized cannabis capsules.
A growing body of evidence supports the use of cannabis as an adjunct or substitute for prescription in the treatment of chronic pain. Equally well documented is the vast negative side-effects of opiate based prescription drugs.
This study/support program consists of providing standardized compressed cannabis capsules at a reduced price to patients who use opiate based pharmaceuticals for pain management, sleep disorders and/or addictions treatment.
